One word to describe CCRM: Excellent. We had previously tried other fertility centers, where we felt like we were just a number being churned through a system. Dr. Styer was the exact opposite: He carefully reviewed our history and situation and worked with us to find and refine the right protocol for us... that ended up producing great results! We are forever grateful.I know some of the other reviews speak of poor communication, but that is far from our experience. Nurses responded to us within an hour or so, and we never had to wait in the waiting room for more than 3 minutes (No joke. Its incredible).CCRM clearly cares deeply about getting top-notch results, and is simply exceptional.
I had been nervous going into egg freezing with CCRM after reading some reviews that communication was non existent and that there had been issues with billing. I found my experience to be quite the opposite. I cannot say enough kind words about this facility. The nurses always got back to me promptly (and could not have been more kind in their replies) and I was always able to reach someone on the phone (granted I did only have to call once and it was during regular business hours). I rarely if ever had to wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room for a blood draw or an ultrasound. Dr. Styer was my provider and was incredibly patient with me. On my egg retrieval day the nursing staff was so incredibly kind and understood how scared I was to have the procedure. The doctor that performed my retrieval met with me prior to going to the OR and after the procedure. The anesthesiologist was aware of how scared I was to get an IV and tried to make the process as gentle as possible. I did not retrieve as many eggs as I would have hoped but that just means we will try a new protocol my next time around. This process is terrifying (especially doing it alone) but I found the staff at CCRM made this as smooth as it possibly can go.
Highly recommend Dr. Styer at CCRM! When it was recommended to me to look into fertility treatment to start my family, I did a lot of research into clinics in the Boston area. I ended up at CCRM and so happy that I did. With the help of Dr. Styer and the rest of the team , I was able to have two children through multiple IVF treatments. My husband and I were always included in the discussions of which treatments were recommended and why. Never did I feel like just a number. Dr. Styer has excellent bedside manner and the CCRM lab is notch.
I had worked with CCRM for the past year and have great things to say! I got pregnant from my third IUI so I didnt go through IVF. Dr. Styer was my doctor, but Ive only met him a handful of times. Regardless, he is super gentle and nice. I mainly worked with the nurses, whom were all really great. Front desk staff are helpful too and communicating through Salve was easy. I understand it could be different to some people, but it wasnt an issue for me.
I’m not sure where to begin, but my main reason for giving 1 star is because of misinformation, poor communication and being left feeling like you are just a number rather than a person. Misinformation: I needed to have a procedure and the NP shared the reason I couldn’t have it mid cycle is because I might be pregnant. This didn’t sound correct and in pursuing the surgery with my own OB/GYN, where I was able to speak directly to the MD (and communication about anything rarely happens from the MD at CCRM), she shared the reason I can’t have the surgery mid-cycle is because they can get clearer margins after my lining is shed and that is the best time to do the surgery. I was also told by an RN that I needed to have my baseline apt no later than day 4. This was unexpected and I had my stim meds private couriered to ME from MA while on vaca. I sat around all day waiting for the shipment. The following day, I went to the Falmouth location for baseline where I was supposed to have labs and u/s but nobody had communicated that to the clinic and they were unable to do it. I called Boston and the nurse (different than the previous) told me my baseline could be on day 5 and I was arriving back home to Boston on day 4. If the original nurse had given me the correct information, I would not have had to deal with the stress of getting in touch with my specialty pharmacy on the weekend and having my meds private couriered. Poor communication: There are two portals and I’m not sure why. It’s confusing. Messages are answered, but with, as stated previously, misinformation. Patients are told certain things without evidence to back up why a protocol is being used, why something is unsafe, etc. Labs and notes are only uploaded when you ask. Videos, which provide knowledge surrounding certain procedures or protocols or how to give medicines are helpful but not applicable to everyone. The knowledge should be tailored to the individual and the same knowledge videos not sent to everyone. As an Oncology RN, I don’t need to spend an hour watching videos on subcutaneous injections. Care plans should be shared early on and decisions regarding each option discussed in detail with the provider but this didn’t happen. As a first time patient dealing with infertility, I had no idea what to expect and so many times what had been communicated to me was not communicated clearly and my expectations were different than what actually happened or would happen. For example, it was important for my husband and I to have genetic testing. During my priming cycle, I was asked if I wanted to do a more in depth testing than PGT, but that this testing would delay things for 3 weeks and the cost could be $800. This information could have been shared at my initial consult or even my second “regroup” and the delay could have been avoided. We opted not to do this testing because we didn’t want to delay. IVF is emotionally daunting and stressful, CCRM processes and communication make it even more stressful and emotional. Unfortunately, the delay of transferring elsewhere would be significant and I’m hoping that in a month or two, I will never have to come back here. I think the end results of pregnancy have probably outweighed some individuals frustration with this process and that’s why you see the positive reviews. I’m not sure the other options for fertility treatment in this area, but I would recommend doing research on communication prior to pursuing a fertility practice.1* because everyone has been so nice when chatting with me and the phlebotomists are great. If CCRM could change their technology, adjust their processes, provide more transparency and insight into “care plans” and evidence used for protocols and clinic standards and if the MDs were more thorough in their apts then I believe this could be a five star practice.
Dr. Styer is God sent. I found CCRM after two failed IVF cycles. I had lost all hope until I read about Dr. Styer. I set up an appointment and met him virtually. The time and attention he took listening to my failed cycles and chronic medical background of me and my partner was something our other doctor didnt do. Whe. Designing my treatment plan Dr. was extremely thoughtful and thorough making sure retrieval was successfull. He made sure to explain every aspect to me. I needed to have a polyp removed amd he explained why and what the procedure was like. Along the way my chronic medical issues caused us to have a delay, but Dr. Styer was very kind and understanding. Both times that I was delayed during my cycle all Dr. Styer express sympathy and concernto get things right medically to have a successful retrievel and implantation. I was so glade that we finally made it to implantation day and that he was there. He walked us through every step of implantation. I couldnt have asked for a more dedicated and kind Dr. Thank you for everthing Dr. Styer and CCRM.
My husband and I went through IVF at CCRM Boston and unfortunately had several issues. Our first major issue was with the billing department, you’re assigned someone to work with, the person we worked with never got back to us, most of the time someone from another office would end up helping us. Our last treatment was a year ago and I’m still receiving bills from September of two years ago- I have called several times to ask for a final bill and continue to get more. They come in no specific order- just random treatment datesFrom the beginning I was adamant about only wanting a female doctor (for personal reasons) and when I showed up for my final egg retrieval I was surprised to find out I had a male doctor that day. I let the nurse know I was nervous about it and that I was told my doctor would always be there for major things such as transfers OR egg retrievals. I was told by the nurse that day that my doctor has a presentation to prepare for and that’s why she couldn’t do it.If it weren’t for the wonderful nurses, front desk staff, and phlebotomists I wouldn’t even give two stars.
My little girl is 4 months old today & I wouldn’t have her if it wasn’t for CCRM. I tried to work with another fertility doctor but it was the beginning of the pandemic and I had trouble getting the initial bloodwork done through the hospital she was connected to. When I met with her, she basically dismissed me & told us to keep trying. When I met with Dr Styer I felt like he listened to my concerns and over time I was diagnosed with mild endometriosis. After a procedure for the endometriosis and one failed IVF cycle, Styer completely revised my protocol. My body had a negative reaction to Lupron the first time & my new protocol did not involve it at all. Dr Zimon did my second egg retrieval, and while I only had 7, I ended up with 2 embryos. She also performed my embryo transfer and it was successful. I gave birth this past February to my daughter at 40 years old.I cannot say enough about the doctors and the care I received at CCRM. IVF is a hard journey and I don’t think I would have successfully made it through with any other practice.
RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION of this business. I regret ever entrusting them with my care, and have experienced endless delays, conflicting information, abhorrent scheduling practices, and the most infantilizing and patronizing behavior Ive ever seen from medical professionals. Honestly, shame on them for treating patients this way.
While some may have a good experience at this facility, I truly believe they are the ones who would have had success at ANY facility. If I could give 0 stars I would. Our experience at CCRM was a total nightmare.First, this place may look nice…don’t be fooled. CCRM operates like a factory. You are a number and will be treated as such. Communication is almost nonexistent and can be very snarky when you do receive it.Second, they use a one-size-fits-all approach and don’t want to do much if any detective work. My partner had endo that didn’t get addressed until toward the end of our insurance cap (and she had to self-advocate for that). The recommended treatment for that was Lupron which unfortunately wasn’t successful and took her almost a year to recover her cycles (CCRM severely downplayed risks of this drug, so make sure you do your homework). Surgery would have been the better option, which is why you need to self-advocate for getting properly diagnosed to begin with.Third, they will literally throw out - without telling you - embryos that don’t meet THEIR standards (but would be acceptable at most other clinics). This means any embryos that have a “C” in their grade (e.g. BC or CB). We didn’t even find out they had thrown out FOUR of our embryos until seeing it in some notes over a year later! And of course when we dared to question that, they were extremely rude and dismissive. That part was the worst because even if insurance wouldn’t cover their transfer, we would have gladly paid out of pocket to give them a chance. Even if those 4 embryos only had a 25% chance each, in total that would have been pretty good odds for us. But CCRM doesn’t like that because it screws up THEIR statistics (which have to be reported). All of this is just a summary. Consider yourself warned.
The scheduling process, app, and availability are all clunky and I would not recommend CCRM for this reason.Whether it be lab work, telephone appointment, or a time sensitive procedure, the availability is limited, and there is little to no wiggle room. There are also times when it seems they are too busy and so you need to circle back or chase for answers. The on call service they use does not seem to understand medical terms (and in my case, did not seem to understand that sometimes last names are spelled a little funny for some people), so if calling in after-hours you will need to be very patient.Everything seems to be done through the app, and there is no guarantee the messages are seen, and often little follow up.That being said, the center seems clean, there is parking available, and in-person the nurses are nice, so if you/your partner are flexible, you will likely be fine. Personally, as someone with an in-office job, I would try to find a different fertility center.
I cannot recommend more CCRM Boston and Dr. Styer. Before switching to CCRM Boston, I had 2 rounds of stimulation and 5 transfers (all with 5 days top grade embryos ) in Boston IVF, and resulted nothing but 2 chemical pregnancy. The doctor there only kept telling me that all those failures are “bad luck”. Finally, I realized I could not continue the IVF journey with Boston IVF anymore. It has became a nightmare for me.In Last July, I knew my 5th transfer failed I booked my first appt with Dr. Styer immediately. I am now so happy that I did not lose hope and tried CCRM! Dr. Styer is really a life saver for me. He did all my ultrasound visits by himself and also made some changes to my protocol. Guess what ? We were successfully pregnant in our first try at CCRM in last November. Now I am holding my beautiful newborn baby girl ! I cannot say more thanks to CCRM Boston and Dr. Styer.CCRM is not a baby factory like many other IVF clinics. The doctor does care about you and customize your protocol based on your own situation. For couples who are still in this journey, I strongly recommend CCRM as your first choice in this area.Update after 3 years later in 2024!Had my second transfer in last August and now I am holding my CCRM baby #2. My family is complete now. Cannot say enough thanks to Doc.Styer and the team ! They are the best of best !Advice for future parents:The supporting adm team has some room to improve. We all know that in fertility treatment the time is sensitive and every cycle counts ! If you choose CCRM Boston, make sure you keep an eye on the scheduling, insurance approval and other administrative steps. Definitely Do follow up calls if necessary.
Dr Styer is very professional and he has a lot of knowledge, im so grateful for finding him! The whole team is great and! They make the process less stressful!
Switching to CCRM with Dr Zimon was the best decision we ever made. After a disastrous experience at another clinic CCRM showed us exactly how this journey should go. I was able to get timely answers and appointments and felt so confident that these were the right steps to success. They made transfer day so special and now I’m 6 months pregnant. We have a family because of CCRM and we could not be more grateful.
Tough to get time with a doctor. Seems like they must be really overbooked. This is truly patient led care. If you are looking for a doctor to help once you start the process, be prepared to wait up to 8 weeks for an appointment.
I would like to thank Dr.Styer, his entire nursing staff, the front desk and the whole team of CCRM. Dr.Styer has been incredible and kind throughout our journey. Hes very knowledgeable about the current trends and new medical developments happening around and has applied them to our treatment when needed. I find the staff very patient, friendly and flexible. Never had any issues with communications. Dr Ryniec is amazing too, she was the on call doctor when we had an emergency, she has listened to our concerns very patiently and gave clear instructions and precautions. Overall it is nothing but a satisfactory journey with CCRM.
1000 times better than MGH. Best doctors and successfully results on first attempt.Dr.Styer is the best.
I switched to CCRM after having two failed cycles at MGH. I wouldn’t change a thing. Dr. Styer was great and we ultimately fell pregnant for the first time after TTC for 7 years and also have two frozen embryos. At the end of the day all that matters is we wanted to get pregnant… and we did!One negative I can say about this clinic is the communication is atrocious. I had portal messages completely ignored and never got a response. I complained multiple times to higher ups with zero resolution. I would have to call numerous times to get an answer to any question and chase the staff down for multiple things. Day of transfer they almost thawed the wrong embryo and said it wasn’t in my chart that we chose another embryo. I had filled out a consent in regards to this and it just slipped by. Each nurse will give you a totally different answer to medication questions etc. It feels like no one is on the same page and you really need to advocate for yourself and do your own research at times. The staff were all great including the receptionists at the front. Always friendly and smiling. They have some of the best phlebotomists I have ever encountered. Dr. Styer is kind and his work is innovative. One of the female doctors did my egg retrieval and some of my monitoring and was amazing the whole time. I could say a million good things about CCRM. If they figure out a way to handle the communication issue I wouldn’t understand why anyone would ever want to go anywhere else for fertility treatments.
My experience has not been a pleasant one. Throughout the entire treatment, I’ve only been able to speak to my Dr. twice and it’s nearly impossible to speak to any of the nurses. Communication with the nurse team through an app has been a nightmare! Questions don’t get answered and they don’t care to make themselves accessible to get on a phone call to discuss treatment or answer questions.I wish I would have done more research before choosing CCRM.
Thanks to Doctor Styer, I made the difficult decision to remain at that clinic despite enduring various hardships caused by the nursing and financial teams. As a nurse with years of experience in similar clinics, I have never encountered a team so lacking in customer service skills. While the clinic may achieve success through its exceptional doctors, the entire process becomes doubly stressful due to the inadequately trained nurses and staff. Obtaining necessary paperwork, such as FMLA forms, became a troublesome ordeal that took me several days of persuasion. Even when seeking a letter of work restriction, I faced resistance and was astonishingly advised by one of the nurses (Katie)to approach HR if my workplace failed to accommodate my needs. However, my workplace specifically required the doctors letter for fair accommodation. If you belong to the working class and understand the strict regulations governing your job, this office is not suitable for you. You must fight for your rights. Nursing team also are not great at updating care plan and medication changes in system or even communicating important information such as allergies with doctors on time. I received and paid for wrong medications that I had been allergic in the past and they were going to cancel my cycle to adjust it to my needs after nearly injecting shots for a month before my transfer. However Dr. Styer changed the medications to less sensitive ones on time. They didn’t have that change in their system and I was keep receiving the wrong instructions regarding my medications before and after my transfer. The financial team and those responsible for dealing with insurance matters also add another layer of stress. Were it not for Doctor Styers intervention with the insurance company, I would have been burdened with exorbitant expenses due to the offices negligence. The entire process proved to be the most stressful experience of my life, primarily due to the dysfunctional team
Going through IVF is tough but having the treatment at CCRM boston makes it worse. They need to hire nurse who are capable of drawing blood. I got bruises on both of my arms because the nurse was having a hard time finding my veins. I did not proceed to the egg retrieval procedure due to bad treatment results and the horrible experience with the blood drawing.
CCRM made the beginning of our fertility journey less than ideal. Communication is horrible. We dealt with calls not being returned, prescription not being filled on time, which led to more frustration in an already stressful situation. Our nurse, Jenna, was very sweet and knowledgeable. But unfortunately the lack of office communication led to us moving to another office. I would not recommend CCRM if you are looking for attentive care.
The facility is beautiful and accessible, the office is very clean. If you come with kids, they will not be allowed into the waiting room or in the office. There is a couch outside the front doors where the kids will be allowed to sit, but this is information they dont share on the phone or on the website so dont be blindsighted like I was.Dr. Zimon was professional and knowledgeable, the nursing team was very helpful until I paid for and began my procedure. While on the fertility medications, they tell you to look out for certain emergency signs and they have a 24 hour hotline so you can call for your nursing team any time day or night. It was reliable most of the time, except the 2 times I called while having symptoms of OHSS to which I got no response from my team either time. When I told the nurse about my experience, she was upset that the outsourced team that answers the hotline never relayed the message but a few minutes later I got a call from a manager who minimized my symptoms and put the blame on me saying if it was that bad that I should have just gone to the hospital. After saying that I would not use their facility again, I got a charge for a test that I was previously told was covered. I know theyre the best rated and some people have great experiences, and although I can say that they have competent doctors and good bedside manner when youre not in distress, this was one of the most traumatizing experiences Ive ever had at a doctors office.
This review is for Dr. Styer and his care team. We had a great experience and a success on having ours 2nd child at age 45 after 3 years of trying and 2 miscarriages. Ours son was born on 7/2023. Ours initial consultation with Dr. Styer was informative. He was genuine and, of course, very knowledgeable. After the first round of egg retrieval, we wanted to explore the possibility of having another round, which we’d have to pay out of pocket, to increase our chance of success. Dr. Styer advised “not to waste ours money” as he explained the marginal benefits at my age was not worth the high costs and it turned out he was absolutely right! We appreciate his expertise and transparency that saved us thousands of dollars, and lots of physical sufferings. However, we only spoke with him 3-4 times for almost the entire year throughout the entire process and that is why I took back a star.Another reason why I only gave 4 star is due to ours encounters with the financial Dept. I pretty much worked with only one lady there. While she was responsive and caring, I don’t believe she was super knowledgeable or “strong” enough to deal with difficult insurance situations. There were a lot of running arounds and pushbacks from ours out of state insurance that I personally had to deal with. A incredibly lengthy and stressful process which took months to get the final approval. I just wish they had someone who can better guide us through. Finally, we wanted to thank the care team. there are too many to name but they were all wonderful. They worked with my schedule and life circumstances, I was able to transition to a new job and squeezed in an international trip during the process thank to the flexibility they provided.I read other reviews about the challenges they experienced with the communication. I, too, had similar issues as I often spoke with different member each time I called or messaged. I often had to explain things in details multiple times and certainly felt the disconnection. I almost always had to leave a VM and not able to reach a live person. I wonder if there is a way to dedicate a smaller team with only 2-3 members to a case to make it more personal and efficient that way? Despite of the challenges, the responses were mostly great and prompt. Together, they got the job done!Thank you very much CCRM, Dr. Styer and ours care team! Good luck to all the perspective moms and dads out there, just don’t give up!
If I could leave less than one star I would. It doesnt matter how good the doctors are at CCRM Boston because the office is HORRIBLY run! First of all, to get through to a receptionist is impossible. 99% of the time Ive ever called Ive been directed to their voicemail box. Rarely are calls returned, and usually youre steered to leave a message within the patient portal. Ive sent multiple urgent email messages about time sensitive fertility issues through the portal with no response (not from a doctor or even a nurse!). Weeks ago I was finally put in contact with the offices Business and Admin manager who seemed to finally be listening to me and my husbands concerns. After countless emails and calls to her with no response, I found out only today that she no longer even works there! Was anyone even going to tell me?Starting the IVF process is stressful enough, but placing your trust and future children at risk with a fertility clinic that does not care at all about you or your time is infuriating. Customer service is not something that CCRM Boston values and you should think long and hard about putting your health and money into such a poorly run business.
I was referred to CCRM by my doctor. I filled out the form on their site and two weeks later still hadn’t received a call, so I called them and was hung up on multiple times. After giving them another two weeks and calling my obgyn to help me- still nothing. The front of office is extremely rude and condescending.I’m glad I didn’t need a referral to find a fertility doctor and found another endocrinologist to help me. Just wanted anyone else who is having trouble getting an appointment that this is NOT normal.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with CCRM. Dr Ryniec was absolutely wonderful, she is so kind and made the process such a happy one. The nursing team and entire staff were always so friendly and made what can be an awkward experience feel comfortable. Very happy to have found this practice!
What a bittersweet day! My fiancée and I had our final appointment and ultrasound with Dr. Styer and his wonderful team today to make sure that all is well with our growing (~8.5 weeks) baby, and we have now officially graduated from CCRM and are moving on to be cared for by a separate OB-GYN. We began our journey with CCRM just a short five months ago, and are both in awe of how smooth, professional, and personalized the entire process has been. It is almost unbelievable (in the best kind of way)! While we were both always optimistic that our predicament (male factor infertility) was entirely fixable via treatment, I dont think either one of us expected it to move as quickly as it did. Dr. Styer and the team were always reassuring, yet transparent and honest, when we met with them for regular check-ups to discuss our progress along the way. We always felt like we were in excellent hands. Honestly, we could not recommend this clinic/team highly enough! Thank you so much Dr. Styer, all of his nurses and support staff, and CCRM as a whole!!- Steve & Karen
If I could give them 0 stars I would. They discarded our embryos after day 7 even though there was still a chance. But they made the decision themselves to throw out all of our embryos because they didn’t like the grade that they gave them. Other people have had worse grades on embryos than what we had but had successful transfers and live births. I wouldn’t recommend CCRM at all. They care more about the success of the clinic then they do the success of the patients.
I can not say enough about the quality of care I received at CCRM. From the moment I walked in the door you are greeted by front desk staff who are knowledgeable, engaging and professional. Blood draws go fast and the lab techs are appropriately distracting. The ultrasound techs do a wonderful job explaining what you are viewing on the monitor and the doctors spend time making sure you are comfortable, understand the process and get your answers met every step of the way. Many times I truly felt like I was their only patient. I am expecting my little guy any day now and couldn’t be any more great-full. I highly recommend choosing CCRM when looking to create or grow your family.
Best clinic I ever visit , doctors ,nurse , secretary they always there for you at any time fast to responde you message ccrm is 100 recommended they always have the best answer and best treat for you and you they always care about there patients health I can said i am so happy we them
CCRM is one of the pioneers in the fertility treatment field, We always felt safe and all our concerns were resolved. They care for their patients and are passionate about what they do. Dr Styer is truly an amazing person, he is very knowledgeable and experienced, he always answered my questions (trust me I had quite a few!) and concerns. The whole nursing team is amazing and compassionate, I especially want to thank nurses Emane, Renee, and Jessica and everyone else on the team, they made this difficult experience a lot easier, and they were always very helpful and understanding.
Cant say enough wonderful things about Dr. Zimon and the rest of the staff at CCRM! We are currently 15 weeks pregnant with our first child, and while the idea of undergoing infertility treatments seemed daunting, we felt like we were in great hands the entire time. Everything was well-managed and the staff was responsive and attentive - I never felt like just another patient, each visit felt personal. Highly recommend CCRM. I chose them based on the reviews I read online so I feel compelled to write one myself - they really are as wonderful as people say :)
I would not recommend CCRM. for those 40+ and/or those choosing to be a single mother by choice. I was new to the IVF process and researched doctors in the area that had good reviews and choose CCRM based on my research Unfortunately, the majority of your time, you deal with the office staff. At CCRM, I felt unseen, unheard and and not wanted. It took over 6mths from my initial consult to complete all the testing required due to scheduling issues. My treatment plan was initially provided to me by a nurse who told me they decided to do IUI because IVF is expensive and it seems their records had me listed as self pay (even though my insurance covered all). Why would they just assume I couldnt afford IVF? I requested to speak to the doctor for clarification and nurse told it would take 2-3 mths to speak with my doctor. Only when I called back and spoke to someone new was I able to get an appointment with the doctor within a reasonable time. After that issue, I agreed to start with IUI but the staff provided no additional information about the process. After calling and requesting additional information, the staff provided me additional details. Eventually, after a couple of rounds of IUI, I requested to try IVF. They said I was not eligible for IVF due to my BMI. At this point, its been a 8mths and never once did they mention my BMI as an issue. It seems I needed to lose 10lbs. When I spoke to the nurse for their recommendation on next steps, they told me to try another facility.I happily found another doctor and facility where they explained all my options and potential treatment plans. The doctor was involved in each step of the plan and even when I had a bad day during the IVF process, took the time to call and check on me. The difference between my new facility and CCRM was night and day.Always get a second opinion and trust your gut and/or acknowledge the red flags. If I had done that, I wouldnt have wasted almost a full year with a facility that was not interested in helping me achieve my goal.
**The one part of the office that functions/operates is the billing department. I find it amusing that I didn’t get a bill for diagnostic tests until I posted this review several months later.**First of all, This review does not reflect the clinical care I received. Dr.Styer and the nurses are great.Saying the office is poorly run is a tremendous understatement. At one point I sent around 5 emails to the financial team to get information on prices and didn’t get a response until I threatened to go someplace else. I believe I worded the email as “I’m ready to take my $20k elsewhere.”Finally they scheduled a phone appointment with Donna. I made sure I was on a break from work and waited patiently. She did not call. I called the office and was sent to a voicemail box that was not set up. 10 times. Finally got a call back from someone and she managed to get Donna before she left for the day. Donna told me she forgot my appointment. Here, I had been waiting MONTHS for a treatment plan and prices so I can take out a loan, and she forgot to call me.Don’t expect your tele links for your appointments to work, either.I can’t even get into the time sensitive appointments I had to schedule that nobody called to schedule until the day before, making me have to get out of work last minute.I will say, the nurses always got back to me quickly on the portal and Dr.Styer is empathetic and personable.Although, after our first failed ivf cycle I looked into how to increase our chances and acupuncture was mentioned in a long article written BY Dr.Styer, which he never mentioned to us.I’m happy some people had positive experiences and got a baby out of it.I’m going to a clinic in Greece now. They were closed for the summer and still replied to my email within 24 hours.Shame on you CCRM.
After a canceled IVF cycle at a clinic associated with a large local hospital, I went to CCRM feeling discouraged. I had only met with my previous doctor once during the entire process and left having more questions than answers. When I went to CCRM and met with Dr. Styer I immediately knew that I was in the right place and that even if things didn’t work out I would have been at peace knowing that I sought treatment at the best faculty available. Dr. Styer saw me at almost all of my appointments and was always honest and caring. He personally called me when there were set backs and when there was good news. CCRM doesn’t just throw the same protocol at every patient, I knew that I was doing one that would give me the best chance. After 2 rounds of IVF we welcomed our miracle baby. Being able to have all the procedures done there rather than a busy hospital took so much stress and anxiety out of the process for me. It is also worth mentioning that my prior facility informed me that insurance wouldn’t cover my type of case (so I paid privately). CCRM had a similar case that insurance covered so they took the time to submit my claim and I was covered for my two rounds. I can’t say enough about Dr. Styer and CCRM!
CCRM Boston seems to be a very busy clinic at least during these COVID times. If youre considering fertility treatments you should definitely reach out to them. But you should also not expect things to move quickly. Lots of patience is needed. So far, in our process, it has taken us since June from our initial consult to the first egg collection cycle was in early October! So set your expectations. But also make sure youre really clear with them on what your expectations are. They have pretty lax communication/organization. And it seems like the Dr. will say one thing that will often conflict with how the nursing staff actually handles it...most of this is scheduling and billing related. Just keep calling and leaving messages and bugging them. Its annoying, but it seems to work! I do think that they do awesome work and they are in high demand. We have been very happy so far with the results...still in egg collection mode, so maybe an update in the future. Good Luck!
My husband and I had the opportunity to work with Dr Ryniec and her team and had a great experience. Dr Ryniec is extremely patient, knowledgeable and helpful and we felt supported every step of the way. We never felt rushed or pressured, which I think is super important when going through infertility. Every time I reached out to Dr. Ryniec or her nursing team at CCRM with questions (which was fairly frequently!) they promptly answered me. We are now 18 weeks pregnant :)I highly recommend working with Dr. Ryniec at CCRM.
I have been a patient of Dr Styer since he was working at a hospital group. I followed him to CCRM and have never been so happy. This is my third pregnancy with him in five years and throughout the process, he has changed the protocol for me (meds and type of cycle), whichever fits my needs and works best for me. THis is the reason why CCRM can work for people who have had failed cycles before at other clinics. Dr Styer wont just keep doing the same thing if it doesnt work, he will truly review your case and do what is best for you on a case by case basis.I know there are some complaints regarding scheduling appointments. As with any busy offices, things can get busy (for good reason, they are good at what they do). I make sure you keep on top of my own case and my confirm my appointments and have not had a problem. Its worth it.I have been to the fertility clinic at MGH and its much much more restrictive in how things are scheduled and everything is about protocol and took forever. I strongly feel that when you let the doctor decide on his own whats best for the patients, it works better for everyone involved.Thank you Dr Styer and staff for being there with me on this difficult journey!
Ive had Dr. Styer and Dr. Zimon for major procedures and my main doctor was Styer. Both were amazing! My husband and I are so grateful to Styer, hes so intelligent and caring, we were really in good hands and got success on our first round. We originally tried to go to FCNE just due to proximity to our house, and the whole attitude was just different. I found CCRM through Fertility IQ and had a good feeling about Styer. I did not feel like a number at CCRM and the nurses are great - shout out to Stacy and Imane!!! The team really made me feel comfortable during covid when my husband was not allowed to enter the office with me.
We decided to go with CCRM Boston as our second IVF clinic. CCRM is pretty well known all over the world for their success stories so we were extremely excited and optimistic. Our initial consult with Dr. Styer went really well and we agreed to move forward. I called in to report cycle day 1 (over the weekend) and never got a call back. I called back during normal business hours and was told a nurse would call me back in 15 mins, I did not get a call back. Someone called me back a day or two later to schedule an appointment (unsure what that appointment was for, I didn’t care to ask since it was too late for cycle day 3 lab work). During the journey of trying to conceive, EVERY cycle counts!! Fast forward couple months, we get a bill for over $400 for the consult. My husband called the clinic because he felt we shouldn’t be responsible for the bill. I got a voicemail from the office manager wanting to discuss the issue with me. However, I did not return her call because I didn’t want to relive the disappointment. I usually don’t leave reviews, good or bad. However, I felt obligated to warn others since the journey of trying to conceive can be financially and emotionally draining. I did end up paying the bill because that’s the responsible thing to do. CCRM should try hiring responsible people that are competent to do their job!
I am being charged $850 for a service that I have not requested or asked. I keep getting payment due emails and letters asking to pay or it will impact my credit score. I have called CCRM financial services at least 50 times in last 4 months and emailed nurses with all documents they have requested in addition to meeting with Dr Styer confirming decision to refuse the service. The financial team at CCRM refuses to update my record or respond to my emails or voice messages.
I was an egg donor here and if were choosing my own clinic, I would not choose this one. Communication was almost zero and I was left in the dark as to what was happening during my cycle 98% of the time. It is impossible to get in touch with a doctor or nurse to ask any questions on the phone. I was left voicemails with massive changes to my medication regimen with no opportunity to ask questions. When you try and call back and wade through their phone options to talk to a real person -- you get a receptionist that tells you that someone will call you back....and they never do.This is not my first time donating my eggs and I know that better clinics exist. CCRM Boston also took a very medically aggressive approach to my egg retrieval that left me in pretty extreme discomfort post-retrieval. I would not recommend this place.
Weve had great experiences with the doctors at CCRM, but it has been extremely difficult coordinating with their administrative team. The front desk rarely picks up the phone, directing callers immediately to voicemail. If I cant catch my phone in time when they call back, once again Im directed immediately to voicemail, and the phone tag cycle continues. We literally had to make an appointment at their office in person, because it was so difficult getting in touch with anyone over the phone. They give you access to a patient portal, claiming 2 business day response time, but Ive been unsuccessful in getting timely responses there. Theyve also forgotten to provide web conference details for tele-health appointments, which is stressful when youre anxiously waiting your appointment with the doctor and arent sure how to get in touch.
We deeply want to thank Dr. Styer and team for all the help with our process on becoming pregnant and even though it was not an easy process because I had a lot of fibroids and I need it to have surgery to remove 11 of them all around and inside my uterus after having my embryos frozen, Dr. Styer and team was extremely supportive to us along the way. 6 months after the surgery we began the process for the embryo transfer and that wasn’t easy either with all the shots, medications and the hormonal changes, but we felt like we we’re almost there to accomplish our dream to become parents. We did the embryo transfer shortly after but unfortunately we didn’t become pregnant, I felt devastated for a few days but I said to my self I want to be a mother and will definitely go trough this process all over again because I believed that I will eventually become pregnant. We did another cycle and thank to Dr. Styer and team because, I am 9 weeks pregnant today and we are immensely happy and that hardship was definitely worth it, so please never give up on your dream. It’s truly worth it! My husband says he loves you Dr. Styer! We’ll be seeing you again for your help with our second baby :)Thank again for everything you are the best!!!
I had a fantastic experience at CCRM Boston! Dr. Styer conveyed genuine warmth and care the entire time. He explained things clearly and answered my many questions very patiently. He has a great sense of humor, often laughing with me at my nervous jokes and stories. He called me personally with the news of the positive pregnancy test, and sounded just as excited as I was. The nurses and techs were kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and accessible. I had no problem getting appointments and did not have to wait long. Its a welcoming and friendly environment. I would recommend it to anyone dealing with infertility.
If you have made it to this page and are considering CCRM to be your fertility clinic...stop your search, call immediately, and make an appointment at CCRM!!!!!Dr. Styer was the second of two doctors we worked with during our journey and I am thankful every day that we were lucky enough to be under his care. From the very first phone call when he asked how I was coping emotionally (after a failed round of IVF at another clinic) I knew our experience would be everything our first doctor/clinic wasn’t, in the best way possible. I went from being treated like a number somewhere else, to being treated like a person with real fears and feelings when I was at CCRM.My monitoring appointments at the main facility in Newton were always conducted by a doctor (Dr. Styer if possible or Dr. Zimon who was also lovely), not a tech, which was really nice to have results immediately. The nurses were all incredible from the moment I met them until the day we “graduated.” Even when the clinic was crazy busy they ALL ran around with smiles on their faces. My egg retrieval was not done by my doctor (because it fell on a Saturday), but I had seen Dr. Zimon plenty of times so she wasn’t a stranger when the surgery came. I had a nurse assigned to me the whole time I was there for surgery which was nice to have a familiar face going into the procedure and coming out. I was updated very early the next morning about our fertilization results and wasn’t left anxiously awaiting the news. And I even got a call on Thanksgiving Day with the final total of blasts they froze and sent for genetic testing! (Side note: We got 4x more than we did at the first clinic.)Per Dr. Styer’s advice we did a FET with one of the 3 genetically normal embryos that resulted from the cycle. He tailored my protocol to best fit my body, taking into account what had been attempted during my last failed cycle. He truly took the time and effort to decide what he felt would give us the best chances at becoming pregnant. As he told us, “You have 3 beautiful blasts, my hope is for that to become multiple children for you.” Throughout the entire process, nurses were prompt to respond to my questions and Dr. Styer was easily accessible to make an phone appointment with same week if I needed to talk to him.We are happy to say all his hard work paid off and I am now 13w3d with our miracle baby boy due in October. You will not regret your decision when you choose CCRM!!
I came to CCRM as my third opinion clinic. After suffering from an ectopic and multiple failed transfers that left me with no remaining embryos. From the minute I sat with Dr. Styer for my consultation, I knew if anyone could help me it would be him. He was very transparent about what he would do differently and felt confident he could make this work. More than his words, his calming demeanor put me at ease. I knew when I left that appointment I was switching clinics, despite the clinic being an hour plus drive from my home. What I didnt know was how much I would hope I had started my journey with CCRM.My egg retrieval with CCRM produced the same number of mature eggs as my last clinic. However, I got 3x as many embryos and all but one of those embryos was genetically normal. I can remember crying when I got the news. Along the way, Dr. Styer never made me feel badly for asking a million questions. As we prepared for transfer, my nerves began to show up. We transferred one embryo and for the first time, I was pregnant with a uterine pregnancy! Now whats more amazing than that news? The fact that Dr. Styer delivered the news to me himself via phone on his weekend off on a Sunday morning! Ill never forget this call for the rest of my days.In addition to having an amazing physician, the clinical staff at CCRM Boston is amazing. I had personalized attention from several nurses (Roisin, Katie, Maryann and Kristen). When I walked in for an appointment, EVERYONE wanted to know how I was doing and how they could help. Ive never felt more cared for in any medical setting in my life. I could not possibly recommend CCRM more highly - Dr. Styer and his team made my life long dream come true.
We began our journey 2 years ago with the expectation we would get pregnant easily and we would not need to look back . Fast forward to a few months ago when our hopes were dashed and our frustration was at an all-time high with our prior clinic. Then it all changed when we saw Dr. Styer and his team at CCRM in November. He was so thoughtful about looking at every detail about us and was always so confident and supportive and involved in all of my ultrasounds and procedures. Unlike our other clinics where we felt like a number, Dr. Styer and his team truly made my husband and I feel like true individuals. The energy of everyone at the clinic from the receptionist, to financial department to the nurses was always so positive and they really showed us how much they cared about helping us succeed. We decided to do IVF at CCRM after many unsuccessful IUIs at my prior clinic…and…..drum roll…we are 3 months pregnant following the first cycle at CCRM Boston. This has been one of the toughest journeys I have been on. But, Dr. Styer and his team provided all the support and guidance and compassion I was always looking for to finally achieve my dream of being a mom one day. I write this review with tears of joy as I am so thankful to Dr. Styer and CCRM. They are truly THE BEST and I will sending any friends or family to them for care. Thank you CCRM Boston!
I am writing to share with everyone how wonderful my care was with Dr. Styer and his team at CCRM Boston. My husband and I saw him several years ago and he helped us conceive our son at his prior center. then We followed him to CCRM and we were so thrilled to be with him again! He provided us such thoughtful care and has always made himself available to do all of my procedures and ultrasounds. Most impressively, from when we first met him years ago and now, he is always available by phone. I really loved working with his nursing staff too. They are so enthusiastic and caring and they made this second time around so easy. I am an interior designer and I appreciate decor..and their clinic is absolutely beautiful and very relaxing. The thing I have always cherished is that Dr. Styer always helped us wit the emotional side of infertility and was so calming when were not (lol). I did not think the infertility experience could be so dignified. But Dr. Styer and his CCRM team have definitely showed us an incredible experience. So impressive!
Dealing with CCRM has been a nightmare. Be warned that it is next to impossible to get through to anyone or even the front desk. I have missed out on important cycle dates because they have no admin staff to take phone calls. If you manage to get through to anyone it is someone in Colorado who will send you to the front desk where a pre-recorded message will tell you that it is not equipped to take voicemails. Since last week I have been trying to reach out to get the ball rolling on egg retrieval. Not one person in over 8 days has returned any of my phone calls or emails. Trying to have a baby is already an emotionally taxing and stressful experience. This office does not seem to care about that, but only adds to the stress. For those dealing with fertility issues please read the similar reviews such as mine. I have not been alone in my experience here.
They lost my bloodwork twice, were very rude about it and caused me to miss procedures because of it. They really treat you like a number here and don’t listen to you at all.
I am so grateful to have gone through my IVF journey with Dr. Styer and the amazing staff at CCRM Boston. From day one they were caring, supportive and always kept me informed each step of all procedure and medication details, answering all my questions at length. We are so blessed to have been able to expand our family with the help of our new family at CCRM. Special thank you to Dr. Styer and his amazing nurse team for always being so supportive and caring!!!
I am so happy I found CCRM!About a year and a half ago my husband and I decided we were ready to try for our second child.. I knew I would need help as we did for our first child. At first we went to a fertility center in NH where we live and I was told to lose a small amount of weight. I lost more than asked and then told to lose more I felt heartbroken and defeated. After a year of being dismissed and ignored by this doctor I decided to seek a new fertility center.I found CCRM online, I spent days reading reviews, watching videos, going through the entire website before making an appointment. When I called to make my first appointment I was greeted with a friendly voice I had so many questions all of which were answered. I had my first appointment via telehealth with Dr. Styer and just with that brief virtual meeting I felt so hopeful and listened to! I knew this was the right fertility center for us. After a couple of months of paperwork, bloodwork, check ins and monitoring we were given the green light to start our first cycle. We are now 9 weeks pregnant with our second little baby! I dont have the words for how grateful I am for Dr. Styer and the whole team at CCRM! From the very beginning I felt heard and supported. I would 1000% recommend CCRM to anyone during their fertility journey!Thank you so much Dr. Styer and CCRM!
I cannot recommend CCRM Boston enough! After going to another large and well known IVF clinic in Boston, I was so impressed by the care, attention to detail and empathy of the staff and doctors at CCRM. I worked with Dr. Aaron Styer and was blown away by the time he took to get to know our story. Infertility is hard no matter where you go for treatment but CCRM Boston makes the experience so much easier in every way. Were so grateful to Dr. Styer and his team.
We can not thank everyone at CCRM enough for everything they have done for us. Dr. Styer and his entire team have all been so compassionate, kind and caring and worked so hard to make our dreams of having a family come true. At each and every appointment, message and phone call my voice was heard and my concerns were important and addressed. Throughout this journey Dr. Styer and his team went above and beyond and helped us to feel confident with each step and decision made.A very big difference that I experienced and greatly appreciated when going to CCRM compared to other facilities we have gone to, is that Dr. Styer was involved in every appointment we had, including consultations/discussions of our plan, ultrasounds, procedures, retrieval and transfer. The only time we didnt meet with Dr. Styer was for quick blood work only appointments. This made me much more confident that Dr. Styer really knew me and my case and that we had a greater chance of a successful outcome. The facility is easy and convenient to get to with free accessible parking. The facility and CCRM is new, up to date and clean. All of the staff is attentive, kind and helpful and treat you as if you were family or a friend. After going through 4 failed IVF cycles with one miscarriage and experiencing two other facilities in Ma and RI, CCRM and Dr. Styer helped us to get pregnant in one IVF cycle! We cant thank and recommend them enough.
CCRM is in desperate need of patient coordination. Their Boston office has on several instances shared incorrect information with my wife and I, has been late to appointments and call-backs (which they promise within 24 hours). Major disappointment working with this clinic. Note: This reflects their administrative capacity and what its like working with them, not their clinical expertise.
I cant express how much I love CCRM - their staff is incredible. Never once did I feel like I was rushed out of the office or that someone didnt have time for my questions. Every nurse, phlebotomist, and of course Dr. Styer, always came with a great attitude and made me feel comfortable and supported every step of the way. My mom loved Dr. Styer so much that she made him a tray of her famous eggplant parm... seriously...They were completely professional and I would recommend them whole heartedly to anyone. I went in for egg freezing, and I know others that went in for infertility issues. We all felt confident and safe in their hands! CCRM radiates with kindness. Their Chestnut Hill location is beautiful - theyve done a great job with the atmosphere, but you can also find Dr. Styer at their second location in Natick.
My wife and I want to thank Dr. Styer and the CCRM staff for all of their support and most importantly, their caring approach over the past several months. My husband and I felt so lost after our initial course at an another clinic and to be honest, we did not know how to cope with all the pressure and stress of our fertility issues. My friend, who sees Dr. Styer recommended that I see him for a fresh start. He really put us at ease at the first visit and reignited our excitement about getting pregnant by taking his time to explain everything and answering any questions we had. I especially liked that he did all of my procedures and ultrasounds and his staff really genuinely cared about us and always had a very upbeat and positive spirit. Their clinic and facility is beautiful and we always felt like we were getting the best care. We are now pregnant and we look back and wish we would have started with Dr. Styer and the CCRM sooner! Our experience was so enjoyable and we recommend them very highly!
Dr Ryneic and her clinical team are amazing. Communication at CCRM is subpar. Patient financial services is the worst. My plan for my FET was not submitted when it was supposed to and still hasn’t been submitted even though that was the plan one month ago. No one answers the phone. No one calls you back. Portal messages go unanswered. For the amount of money you will spend it’s not worth the extremely poor customer service. Trying to conceive is already frustrating. Please save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.
My wife and I had the great pleasure of meeting Dr. Styer a few months ago to help us get pregnant. We are both in the healthcare field and we can easily say that our care at CCRM has been the best we have experienced as patients and as healthcare providers. Dr. Styer has a knowledgeable, compassionate, and thoughtful bedside manner that is truly refreshing. He and his team always made time for us if we had additional questions and always made us feel so comfortable. The clinic and staff were so welcoming and our care has been top notch. The fertility journey has been challenging for us over the past few years. However, Dr. Styer has truly shown us what is means to care for patients . He has been so enthusiastic and our confidence in our chances for pregnancy have been bolstered immensely. His care of us has been second to none. He is an incredible fertility doctor and we recommend him and CCRM to anyone who is looking for a clinic where you want truly excellent care.
Dr. Zimon is an incredible and brilliant physician!! My only regret is that I didn’t start with her right away! We sought her help after having a horrible experience with a large IVF clinic in the Boston area. We had undergone 2 IUIs and then an IVF cycle where they retrieved numerous eggs but could only get one embryo from them. They transferred this embryo which ended up in a chemical pregnancy. We were left devastated as they told us that it had to do with egg quality which couldn’t be fixed. We had previously heard about CCRM through a friend who had success so we sought out Dr Zimon and the CCRM team. In our initial consultation, she explained all the changes she would make to my protocol and gave us hope at a very dark time! During the IVF cycling, she does all her own ultrasounds in the morning and adjusts dosages based on your body (rather than a set protocol like most facilities). We had such a personal experience throughout the entire process! They were able to retrieve numerous eggs again but this time they were great quality thanks to her! We also loved the embryologists, esp Dr. Holmes, who really took a personal interest in our case. We ended up with many embryos that we were able to send for genetic testing. We still can’t believe we could have such a drastic change in results from one physician and facility to the next. We then had a successful transfer and am finally pregnant after such a long and exhausting journey! While our care with Dr. Zimon was flawless, my husband and I often discussed that even if we didn’t have good results initially, we would definitely stay with her as there wouldn’t be anyone we’d trust more. I sincerely feel like I owe my life to Dr. Zimon and the entire team at CCRM. She is not only incredibly talented but also very personable! It was very bittersweet saying goodbye to her and the team, but we will be back in the future!
My experience at CCRM was amazing, for lack of better terms. Dr. Styer is the most caring, knowledgeable Dr I’ve ever worked with. He made the process of making a baby with science enjoyable. I learned so much along the way. I will forget recommend him and CCRM Boston.
I first met Dr. Zimon about 7-8 years ago at a different clinic when she happened to be the doctor on that day who performed my first egg retrieval. The first of many ... none of which resulted in a successful pregnancy. Fast forward several years later when my husband and I decided to pursue donor egg IVF and we found ourselves at CCRM . Dr Zimon, Julie Gold and the entire staff at CCRM are AMAZING! You are treated like a person, an important person, who they truly care about. Our first donor egg cycle resulted in 7 PGS normal embryos! We transferred one and are anxiously awaiting the birth of our son any day now. I cried my last appointment with Dr Zimon because I just didnt want to have to go see any other doctor for this pregnancy. If I had it my way Dr. Zimon would be delivering this baby!I never once felt like a burden asking questions... and I had lots. Dr. Zimon performed every single ultrasound on me herself, the level of care is so far superior to any other clinic or doctor I had seen (and I saw a lot!).
Five stars is not enough to give this Fertility Center. My husband and I have been to several doctors and facilities and CCRM Boston is hands down a top notch state of the art facility. Dr. Styer is informative, compassionate, and take every moment necessary to put your mind at ease. Each and every nurse we came in contact with was amazing and caring and efficient. If we could take him and his staff back to Florida we would! We flew from Florida and stayed in the area for the duration of treatment. I can’t say enough about this facility and Dr. Styer and his team and would recommend them to anyone with ease knowing they are in good hands. We are expecting our bundle of joy in June! Hello from the sunshine state Dr. Styer and team we miss you all!
We are ever-grateful to the entire staff at CCRM Boston, they truly are a talented, caring and attentive team that understood how difficult and frustrating our multi-year journey to pregnancy was for us. After extensive research into the best treatment in the area and initial consultations elsewhere, CCRM Boston was an immediate fit for us - the outcome of which has resulted in a successful pregnancy (still early, but excited!).Dr. Styer was our primary physician and always took the time to answer our questions; his expertise, positive attitude and great sense of humor encouraging us with confidence every step of the way. Even when an initial protocol was not producing the intended response, his decisive pivot to a new protocol helped to keep our spirits lifted in hopeful expectation.Though not as frequent, our encounters with Dr. Zimon were just as positive and we, of course, are extremely thankful for her role in our journey as well (no egg left behind!).From the initial consultation to the numerous rounds of testing and check-ups to the egg retrievals and transfer - the nursing staff, embryology department, billing and insurance department and front desk personnel were all so kind and genuine, loving yet professional. We will certainly miss everyones smiling faces. As I mentioned earlier, we are still in the early days of our pregnancy - 9wks to be exact - but are absolutely thrilled for our future family and so thankful to the loving team who helped us get where we are today and where well be in December!
I can not get over how poorly this office communicates. Working with them has been a terrible experience. Multiple times they called last second to say blood work needed to happen that day without giving prior warning, or they forgot to keep insurance referrals up to date or other labs expired so procedures had to be delayed months as they got things worked out again (all which could have been prevented with some basic planning on their part). There were even times where we were scheduled for an appointment (the soonest one being weeks off), received confirmation of appointment, only to then be told on the day of that they have no record of our appointment and rescheduling us again for nearly a month later. I work in health care - this is not how any practice should operate. Not impressed one bit by them.
Background:My wife is an in-training physician. I am working in non-healthcare without knowledge about the insurance. Decided to do IVF with CCRM because of failure from another center. We are both recent immigrant and dont understand much how the insurance works.Doctor:Dr. Styer is very responsive and reachable. He always address your concern quickly.Supporting teamAnother person that is deserved to call our here is Isabelle. She is the best front desk ever.Nurse and Financial Services (Insurance)As of Mar 27, 2019Changing the review down to 3 star because I am so upset about the insurance process. Found out from the Pharmacy that the insurance for medication was rejected. Sent the message to the insurance person trying to obtain the proof of pre-authorization approval. She said this matter is not her job and I need to talk to the nurse since its medication related. Talked to the nurse (she also talked to Pharmacy) confirmed that it has reached the limit for medication and there is nothing they can do. I called the insurance and found out that the pre-authorization approval was done for a single visit not the full cycle. We are in the middle of the process and need to pay $12.7K for the medication out-of-pocket. This is a stressful process itself. I have already spent half a day finding out whats going on. I left the message for them to call the insurance company (as suggested by the insurance company). I felt like nobody should face the situation like this. I think my wife need to end up paying the growth hormone for free as we cant continue unless the insurance is cleared within tomorrow. I will update my review later. As of Mar 27, 2019 3:40 PMIts 2.5 hrs after the above update. Nobody called me back. Need to call in and talk to the front desk to learn that the insurance person left for the day. And they probably never call the insurance company as I asked them to. Feel like being ignored by this center.End of day Mar 27Talked to my wife, she is a physician. Her colleague, who is a case manager at the hospital she worked, helped calling CCRM to find out whats going on. Found out that we have maxed out the life-time limit of the specialty medication since last IVF. (At first, I was confused if there was such a limit).SummaryCCRM is probably good for anyone who has a good understanding of how the healthcare system works, but not for recent immigrant like myself. Doctor here is brilliant and supportive. I dont really like the supporting system. The operation is not ready for scale (as of Mar 2019). They have an inefficient process and under-staff (never seem to experience that there is an on-call nurse at night). I have talked to the insurance person twice only although left her many messages to call back. One is the first day and second is when we need to pay the bill. Unfortunately, we decided not to continue the IVF for now since we can wait until we switch to the new insurance. Its also my fault that I believe that the only main difference between BCBS and my current insurance is the embryo freezing (told by the insurance person here). In retrospect, we should have checked with the insurance about the lifetime maximum limit on the fertility medication too. If I have known this at the beginning, I would wait until July for starting the IVF process. Lastly, I will give the credit to the doctor and take the blame for not understanding how exactly the insurance works.
I’ve had a number of reasons to seek Dr. Zimon’s help over the past few years, and have been so lucky to receive what I would consider to be the absolute best care during what I would otherwise label as a grueling process both physically and emotionally. Throughout many challenges, she’s demonstrated that she really cares about her patients and enjoys getting to know them on a more personal level. She’s also extremely (really, really, really) intelligent and stays informed of the latest and greatest developments in her field. When she made the decision to co-found CCRM Boston I followed her there, because she’s just that good, and it’s truly remarkable to see the love she and her co-founder, Dr. Styer, have put into every detail of this brand new facility. I also think it speaks volumes that the founders have formed a team of incredibly friendly and helpful professionals, most of whom they’ve worked with for many years - showing that the staff mirrors my respect for the founding physicians with their willingness to follow them to CCRM. If you’re in need of this type of care, I truly cannot recommend CCRM Boston enough.
Ccrm Boston with Dr. Zimon has been truly an amazing experience. When we first met Dr. Zimon we knew she was the right doctor to help us with our infertility problems. Dr. Zimon and her team have been amazing always available at anytime and quickly respond to any concerns I had. They became more like family. My husband and I are so grateful to Dr. Zimon and everyone who helped us achieve our dream of becoming parents. If you are having infertility complications please look no further Ccrm Boston with Dr. Zimon is definitely the right place! Amazing experience all around highly recommended!! Thank you Dr. Zimon!!
It was a very very bad experience. Each department runs independently and their internal coordination is extreme inefficient. The doctor does not show care about me as a patient and I never get any practical suggestion from her. Most of our questions are answered by It is hard to say again and again. We did certain tests multiple times and there is no followup calls after the tests except a bill. Doctor said the staff will contact us for follow-up steps but they didnt, and it is so frustruating to them again and again to ask what should I do for next step. For example Doctor said someone will talk to us for a medicine that I should take but no no one contact us in two weeks, and the most ironic thing is that they asked me to take a blood test again in my next visit without even confirming if I received the medicine or not. Today I got a email to ask me to sign a financial agreement to do the IVF process but we never got the call from financial department yet which is guaranteed to happen by them a week ago. I am so tired to contact them agian and it seems to me they just want to get the money from you. I eventually gave up since I dont want to waste my time and money.
I loved the CCRM! The staff, the nurses, and the doctors are very thorough, organized, and knowledgeable. Dr. Styer is a kind man who goes above and beyond the call of duty for his patients (and I am usually partial toward female doctors). I would recommend this place to anyone!
I called them to get information, they asked me to make an appointment with one of their doctor and pay $400+ then the doctor will refer me to the financial team. the appointment must be online not in person!!! they provided me with the contact number of their third-party group, which was wrong. I can not trust them. their customer service over the phone is zero.
I want to personally thank Dr. Zimon & her staff (specially Elana, Misty & Maryann) to make my dream come true. Dr. Zimon for me is an angel sent by God to fulfill my dream of becoming pregnant after struggle of 8 years. Right from the time I visited Dr. Zimon & met her staff at CCRM few months ago (after my relocation from Dallas), I felt I am in safe hands. During my treatment, they proved that entire team (whether nurses, lab technicians, embryologists - in my case Elana, Misty, Julie, Maryann, Stephanie & Paula are so knowledgeable, helpful, empathetic and follows a realistic approach to help you in best possible manner & politely address your concerns ( no matter what questions you may have). Nurses were always available to help and even Dr. Zimon took extreme care of all my appointments with her even if they were on weekends. Dr. Zimon would compassionately listen to all my concerns/questions and address very positively and giving me a hope/motivation that she will work it out for me explaining me next steps and will get me there soon. All I can say is they put themselves in shoes of a patient and completely understands what they may be going there and take extreme care of their patients. I am gonna miss the warm hugs that I use to receive from each one of you 😘 Loads of respect and love 🥰
I had such a positive experience at CCRM!Dr. Zimon was my doctor and she is the reason why I have my son. The staff and nurses were also very kind and helpful during my entire process.
I went out of my way to bring my records to the office and the doctor didnt have them with her at the consultation. She asked all the same questions that were answered with an assistant RIGHT before we saw the doctor. My copay wasnt collected at the visit (satellite office unorganized!!!) but ended up with a $50 bill (copay was $30) because they sent me to collections!!!!!
I also want to thank to Dr Styer and his team for making our dream come true and see my first pregnancy test after years of trying to conceive. Now I’m 12 weeks pregnant and can’t wait to hold my baby in my arms. We will be back for more babies.
Great, caring staff. Very professional and knowledgeable.
I cannot fathom how CCRM Boston has such a high average review. Perhaps the bliss of having a baby successfully colors the experience of the CCRM logistical nightmare.
Frustrated about how the office is run at CCRM arrived at 11:15 for a 11:30 appointment. Wasn’t seen until 12:45pm.For most of the time there was no one at the front desk or immediately behind the desk, very unprofessional.
We feelLike we have a second family at CCRM Boston! Thank you Dr. Styer and your amazing team for helping us grown our family!
No one answers the phone so I decided to go look at reviews. Now its all clear - the office is horrible. With so many bad reviews specifically on that issue, someone higher up must not want any more business.Wish granted.
Excellent care team
Fantastic, kind, and helpful team of people
